I have a round face, rosy face with two watery eyes, as long as I smile, they can turn into a crack. Although I was only 13 years old, losing weight 100, which makes me upset. It is because I am fat, so students are call me "Pangge." Hey. You can't experience the taste of fat ah! That kind of feeling than "hell" is also uncomfortable! Therefore, "fat" has become my characteristic, has become my biggest worry.
I remember when I was the fifth grade, there is a sky sports school, sports as a monitor I, the teacher asked me to jump demonstration classmates. What a "jump" means to me, but it is generally not more! Don't say me this big fat, I have from the bar good! The students repeatedly forced, I like the "execution" in general, especially afraid of, can be in order to save his face, I plucked up courage rushed past. Boom. A loud noise, I was knocked down by the high jump bar, the students laughed, I was also a heavy fall in the ground. After this, I will not jump too high, I think I still remember it vividly!

Because of my curiosity, went up and play with it. I do not know how, my heart from the Wainian, want to play a trick on the teacher. So, I made a point of the globe by hands, heart secretly class. The teacher, passion into the lecture, to ignore The existence of the ball instrument was like that. A class was taken away from the earth globe. I was disappointed and worried
Later, I was ashamed to hear that the teacher had made a joke in another class!

大学英语作文 篇三this applicant shows that her interest in public interest law flows naturally from her volunteer activities and life eperiences. when you finish this essay, do you have a sense of unity and completion? she tied her conclusion both to the highlights of the body and her lead.
the last thing i remember is falling asleep during a late night rerun of the twilight zone. so when it happened, it was especially eerie, like i had stepped into a lost episode, but rod serling was nowhere in sight; for moment, neither was anybody else. at 4:31 am a merciless shove pushed me off my bed. i crawled on the floor, trying to escape the cruel, uncontrollable shaking, but it followed me. it followed me down the stairs and underneath the dining room table where my family joined me. little did i realize that before the morning sun rose again, i would see everything differently.
my world changed. the 6.7 earthquake which crippled the northridge area on january 17, 1994 rattled and ripped apart the fibers of security in our neighborhood. our home was ruined; smashed glass, crumbled walls, and the lack of electricity, gas, and water made it uninhabitable. without basic utilities, we slept and lived in our car for nine days while guarding our home from looters.
the damage was everywhere. a personal landmark, the granada hills kaiser permanente medical center, collapsed. the site where i had volunteered as a teen advisor 鈥?lobbying for and improving the quality of the teen health clinic while working one- on-one with underprivileged, problem teenagers 鈥?no longer eisted. only an empty lot and the memory of a valuable and productive medical and psychological outreach program for troubled youth remained.
as much as northridge and its surrounding regions changed eternally, so did the lives of the victims internally. following this traumatic eperience, i developed a keen awareness of the fragility of life and a newly restored appreciating for the simplest of my old comforts. as vulnerable and edgy as i was with every aftershock that rolled through the area, i consoled myself with reminders of how we were spared.
with a profound sense of gratitude for our relative good fortune, within weeks of the initial quake i volunteered at the american red cross earthquake relief center.
as my family and i rebuilt our home and our lives, i translated for iranian earthquake victims and performed various clerical tasks. yet, my most valuable contribution to the earthquake relief team stemmed from the moral support i was qualified to provide. with my earthquake eperience, i was able to comfort the teary-eyed victims who approached us for help. i gave them the hope and understanding they sought from a primarily out-of-state staff. i benefited too: my work for the red cross aroused my curiosity in public interest law.
i had the opportunity to eplore this new interest in the summer when i interned in washington d.c. for congressman howard p. (buck) smith of california. that summer i was responsible for attending meetings and informing the congressmans staff of the issues discussed. one of the issues i followed dealt with a proposed guideline to prohibit religious epression in the workplace due to its allegedly offensive nature. defining such acts as wearing a star of david or praying silently before a meal as religious harassment, the bill attempted to equate these acts with verbal or seual harassment.
still the most fulfilling eperience of my internship was serving the mr. smiths constituents when they wrote, called, or visited our washington office. their concerns covered many issues, including city maintenance and the enforcement of fcc regulations on local radio stations; yet, most cries for help grew out of the january 17 disaster.
my eperience in the earthquake proved to be useful in my internship. after all, i was working with mr. earthquake himself. as the only intern from northridge, i was assigned to the earthquake project. i acted as a liaison between constituents and the small business administration, federal emergency management agency, and other governmental agencies that handled quake reconstruction monies. because of my eperience, i was again able to empathize with victims in a way that neither the staff nor the other interns could. as a result of my work, i gained a more profound grasp of the legal process and how it was able to help northridge residents with their post earthquake problems.
the january 17 earthquake dramatically changed my world 鈥?both inside and out. in the red cross shelter and in congressman smiths office, my career ambitions took shape: public interest law grabbed me. now i want to help those who cannot purchase legal services, not only by providing the empathy gained during my own trying eperiences, but also by using the skills and knowledge i will acquire at the abc law school. with this preparation, i look forward to helping others escape their legal or bureaucratic twilight zones.
考研英语作文 篇四What are some important qualities of a good supervisor(boss)? Use specific details and examples to explain why these qualities are important.
Even though job situations can be very different, there are several qualities that all good supervisor have in common, A good boss treats all her employees fairly. She doesnt single out one employee for better(or worse)treatment than the others. A poor supervisor has favorites. Sometimes shell even use her favorites to spy on other employees. She expects them to tell her what the others are saying about her. This can cause a lot of bad feeling among employees.
A good supervisor gives clear and understandable directions. She doesnt constantly change her mind about what she wants employees to do. She also doesnt get angry with an employee who is confused and needs her to explain the directions again or more fully. Delegating authority well is another quality of a good supervisor. She knows how to use the skills of her employees to best advantage. A poor supervisor insists on doing everything herself. She is unwilling to give any authority to others.
A good boss evaluates her employees on a reasonable ser of criteria, not on how she feels about them personally. And she lets the employees know what those criteria are, so they have a fair chance of meeting them.
She gives both praise and criticism in a straightforward manner. She also offers guidance when needed. A poor supervisor will criticize without giving any suggestions on how to improve.
Most importantly, a good supervisor set the standards for her employee by her own behavior. She works hard and treats employees like valuable assets to the company. This promotes good morale among her workers, and this is of great benefit to her business.
优秀英语作文 篇五Spring is a delightful season. The temperatures are moderate, and the blooming trees and flowers make the city bright with colors. This is the time when we can begin to wear lighter and more brightly colored clothes and go outdoors more often. Smaller children like to bring their kites out to the spacious square. Also I enjoy going back to the village on this holiday after being in the city for the winter months.
In some countries, teenager have jobs while they are still students. Do you think this is a good idea? Support your opinion by using specific reasons and details.
I dont think it is a good ideas for teenagers to have jobs while they are still students. It can interfere with their studies, It can disrupt their home life, and it takes away part of their childhood that their can never replace.
Education today is very complex and difficult 。In order to learn and get good grades, a student must work very hard and concentrate, This means attending classes from early in the morning until late afternoon, then doing research for projects, then going home and doing homework. It’s a busy schedule for everyone. For someone trying to hold down a job, it’s even harder. Students need all their energy for their studies. If theyre working after class at night, they’re going to be tired the next day. They wont be able to concentrate. This will have a negative impact on their learning, and eventually on their grades.
Having a job can also disrupt a teenagers home life. Families spend less and less
time together. If a teenager has a job to go to after school, he wont be home for dinner.
He wont be home after dinner either, and may not get home until late at night, This means he doesnt have a lot of time to spend with his family 。If he doesnt have a car, it can mean changes in his parents schedule ,too. They have to drive him to work and pick him up.
The main drawback of a teenager having a job while hes still a student is that hes missing out on the fun of being young. He has a whole lifetime in which hell have to earn a living. This is the last free time hell have, It’s the last chance hell have to hang out with friends and just enjoy himself. Soon enough hell have to worry about paying the rent and buying food.
Jobs bring money, but money isnt everything. A teenager with a job gives us too much. No one should spend all his time at working, and especially not a teenager.
英语作文 篇七Green life style is becoming increasingly popular nowadays as it can help to reduce pollution and save energy.
It is easy to adopt in our daily life and here I’d like to share my practice at save water,I often try to reuse it for watering flowers after washing hands or vegetables and seldom do I leave the tap water running when showering or washing.
Also, when it is necessary to use air conditioner,I usually set it to a proper temperature so that I can use less electricity and save money as well. Besides,I always keep it in my mind to turn off lights before leaving. What makes me most proud of is that I have a cloth shopping bag made by myself for my regular shopping.
I’m fully convinced that as long as everyone sticks to the three principles:Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle,we’ll be moving a step closer to a green life day by day.
